Ricky Gervais is coming to Canada with his new live tour

Not even 24 hours after making headlines with yet another racy Golden Globes monologue, accomplished British comedian Ricky Gervais has released a new set of dates for his upcoming live tour.

Toronto and Vancouver will both briefly host Ricky Gervais: SuperNature this summer.

The comedian's Facebook shows that he's scheduled to perform at Toronto's Meridian Hall (formerly the Sony Centre) on August 21. A second Canadian performance is planned for August 26 at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver.

Not much has been revealed about what audience members can expect from the show, but it's almost guaranteed to get people talking.

Gervais, who created The Office (among other hit TV shows), has proven as divisive as he has successful in recent years thanks to his bold style of comedy.

The award-winning entertainer and producer is considered to be the most influential British comedian since Charlie Chaplin in his home country, where overwhelming demand for his upcoming show has prompted the addition of more tour dates.

He's also known for frequently engaging in high-profile Twitter feuds, and for refusing to apologize for jokes that offend.

Tickets for Ricky Gervais: SuperNature in both Toronto and Vancouver go on sale Friday, January 10 at 10 a.m. via Live Nation.
