Liam Neeson spotted in Canada filming The Ice Road movie

Irish actor Liam Neeson was spotted walking around an airport in Winnipeg this week — and fans are pretty excited about it.

The actor was seen at the Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport on Wednesday. Michael Wynne snapped a picture with Neeson at the airport and shared it to social media.

Neeson is in Winnipeg to film his latest action flick, The Ice Road — a movie about a heroic man that crosses dangerous Canadian terrain to rescue a group of trapped miners.

Filming will take place in and around the city of Winnipeg, as well as in the town of Gimli, which borders Lake Winnipeg.

And naturally, Canadians are excited.

This woman just wanted to spread the good news.

While this man was a little more blunt about his feelings.

And this man was pretty sure that the action star had showed up just in time to save the day.

No word yet on whether Liam Neeson plans to visit the world's longest skating trail while he's in Winnipeg.
