Little Caesars is giving away 250,000 free pizza slices to frontline workers in Canada

Little Caesars is giving away free pizza to healthcare workers and first responders in Canada because honestly, who doesn't love a cheesy slice of goodness?

Starting today, the global pizza company will give 250,000 slices of pizza to hospitals, police departments and fire stations across the country.

The company will also give away 1 million pizza slices to healthcare workers and first responders in the U.S.

"Hospital staff and first responders are working around the clock to help keep us safe and healthy, and they are true heroes,"said president of Little Caesar Enterprises Inc., Dave Scrivano.

"Together with our franchisees across Canada, we want to give back directly to the communities they serve. Little Caesars is a family company and so, we want to thank all of them in the best way we know how — by delivering a wholesome meal."

The company has also set up a "Pie It Forward" feature on the Little Caesars app so Canadians can buy a pizza to give to their local healthcare workers or frontline heroes.

Little Caesars is following in the steps of other Canadian companies such as Tim Hortons and Mary Brown's, who are also giving away free food and coffee to healthcare workers amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
