Here's what the new Nova Scotia donut at Tim Hortons looks like

Tim Hortons' Nova Scotia donut launches across Canada today, and the Canadian coffee chain has officially released photos of what the limited-edition treat looks like.

The donut aims to raise money for those affected by the recent tragedy, with 100 per cent of proceeds going to the Canadian Red Cross Stronger Together Nova Scotia Fund.

Tim Hortons previously said that designs may vary depending on available supplies, and it seems employees have risen to the challenge by producing dozens of creative designs.

Some Tim Hortons locations are offering delicious recreations of the Nova Scotia flag, complete with multicoloured sprinkles.

While this Tim Hortons location offers a green-and-blue treat, with a sweet heart at the centre of the donut.

This Tim Hortons location is offering a sophisticated donut decorated in blue, yellow, white and green — the colours on Nova Scotia's official coat of arms.

But there are at least 16 different designs across Canada, making the Nova Scotia donut a truly unique, limited-edition treat.

The Nova Scotia donut retails at $1.59, and it will be available at participating Tim Hortons locations across Canada until May 5, 2020.
