Employees fought off robbers at a Canadian pharmacy and it was all caught on video

A customer at a Montreal Pharmaprix caught an attempted robbery, as well as drugstore staff's valiant attempts to stop it, on video last night.

A man dressed in black with his face and hands obscured walked into the Pharmaprix at 5800 Cavendish Blvd in the Côte Saint-Luc suburb of Montreal carrying a dark duffel bag.

He headed for the pharmacy section, which is a notoriously common target for theft in such stores due to the narcotics on-hand.

In the video, two employees are seen diving at the man after he stuffs his bag full of medication behind the pharmacy counter, and one staffer is even thrown to the ground — along with a chair — amid the robber's attempt to flee the store.

Four employees team up to chase the suspect out the store's door and continue the pursuit outside, where they appear to finally wrestle the bag of pills free of the man's hands and bring it inside.

The pharmacy staff member and one other male employee can be seen making unsuccessful attempts to subdue the robber out in the snowy parking lot, and he ultimately escapes.

Thankfully, it seems no one was seriously harmed in the incident, which happened around 10 p.m. It also seems that retail employees and pharmacy staff can be far braver than robbers may think.
