moose in pool

A moose just went for a swim in someone's pool in Canada

A moose was found swimming in a residential pool in Canada this morning, so summer must officially be here.

Maybe the moose got jealous of Drake's pool or maybe it just wanted to cool off as the weather is heating up, but either way the animal had to jump a two-metre fence to enjoy a refreshing dip.

Ottawa man Paul Koch found a moose swimming and standing in the pool at his home near Uplands Drive and Hunt Club Road on Friday morning.

Apparently it wasn't clear if the moose was trying to escape the pool, but Koch contacted the Ministry of Natural Resources. The proper authorities are apparently on their way to try and safely transport the moose.

It's actually the second moose that's been spotted in a residential area of Ottawa this week — a moose was also filmed taking a leisurely jog around a neighbourhood.

A black bear was also sighted in Ottawa earlier this month as well as Markham earlier this week.

Cute Canadian animals have certainly been providing a welcome distraction on social media during the pandemic, from grizzlies to geese to whales, and this moose chilling in a pool is definitely brightening Friday morning for a lot of people.
