Avril Lavigne surprises NFL player who was singing her song while training

Avril Lavigne is showing some love for one of her biggest fans: San Francisco 49ers player George Kittle

On Wednesday, the Canadian singer-songwriter shared a video on Twitter — originally posted by NFL Canada — of a virtual appearance she made during a 49ers game to surprise the football player who was clearly overcome with joy.

"Oh hey there George, it's your friend Avril Lavigne from Canada, eh," Lavigne said to Kittle.

"I'm just going to grab a pop and sit down on the chesterfield now. You guys have a good game, eh."

Lavigne's surprise came after a video was shared to social media of Kittle pumping himself up for a training session while singing her ever-popular and much loved hit, Sk8er Boi

Kittle just so happened to be "mic'd up" during this impromptu performance.

Many online shared their love for Kittle's rendition of the song and made sure to tag Lavigne in their comments.

"Need to put on a performance she can be proud of...Let's get things going this Sunday!!" someone else wrote.

Others took the opportunity to poke some light-hearted fun at Kittle's singing voice.

If Kittle's heartwarming reaction to getting a shout out from the one and only Avril Lavigne doesn't make you smile, we don't know what will.
