Here's a list of all the national parks reopening in Canada on June 1

More than half of Canada's treasured national parks will reopen to the public in less than a week after closing in mid-March to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Parks Canada announced on Wednesday that 29 of the country's 48 national parks would resume at least partial operations on June 1, but only those in which physical distancing measures can be properly accommodated.

"Being outdoors and in nature brings a number of health and wellness benefits," reads a notice on the Government of Canada's website

"As all Canadians do their part to flatten the curve of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is important that people have access to natural spaces where they can go to get exercise and fresh air in settings that facilitate physical distancing."

The notice states that Parks Canada will thus begin a "safe, gradual opening of some outdoor locations in national parks, national historic sites and national marine conservation areas" on June 1, but that all camping facilities will remain closed until at least June 21.

Once June hits, visitors will be able to "access some trails, day use areas, and green spaces" at the following 29 national parks:
