This is how much it costs to rent a one-bedroom apartment in cities across Canada

Ever wondered how much it costs to rent a one-bedroom apartment in Canada? Well, the August 2020 rent report is in — and as you might expect, the price varies a lot by city.

Popular rental website PadMapper used data pulled from thousands of listings to calculate median asking rents for the top 24 most populous metro areas in Canada.

Toronto continues to lead for the priciest one-bedroom rent ($2,100), while other major cities such as Winnipeg ($1,000) and Edmonton ($970) are much more affordable.
